2023 LX600 Review

The Lexus LX is easily the most dependable premium full-size SUV on the planet thanks to its impressive build quality and choice of materials coupled with its immense power and reliability.
Its latest model, the 2023 LX600 is out and is available for sale. Its highlights have been reviewed below:
Features
The Lexus LX has made it to its fourth generation that was launched just last year, so there are no updates for this model year.
You get to choose from five trim levels – all offered with a single power train – each loaded to the max with impressive features.
Powertrain and Numbers
The LX600 2023 comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 which produces 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet.
This is sent to all four wheels, all the time, courtesy of a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Kelly Blue Book spoke of the power: “The mighty turbocharged V6 engine always seems to have extra power on tap, even at highway speed.”
Naturally, you can expect this large Lexus to defy physics and accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 6 seconds.
Now, just because it’s high-end, doesn’t mean that it is incapable. Evidence of this is the 2023 LX600’s maximum towing capacity of 8000 lbs.
As far as fuel economy is concerned, the EPA says that it will deliver up to 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.

Interior and Technology
The interior of the 2023 LX600 sets unmatchable standards of luxury and sophistication for the class in every way possible.
US News says that it “looks and feels lavish,” while Car and Driver praise the “high-end appearance and luxe ambiance.”
The trunk has a decent size of 46 cubic feet on the three-row model, going up to 71 cubes with the rear bench folded.
The following are the trim offered on the 2023 Lexus LX600, plus their standard features:

Even the entry-level makes a statement with its open-pore wood trimmings, and leather-trimmed seats and steering wheel.
You also get a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with heating and memory, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an 8-inch instrumentation screen.
There’s a large 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, plus a separate 7-inch screen containing other controls.
Along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, you can also expect a premium powerful 10-speaker stereo system.
There’s also satellite navigation, voice-activation, Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, several USB ports, power points, and a wireless charging pad.
The Lexus App makes things a lot easier thanks to niceties such as remote start, service scheduling, and all sorts of alerts.
And we can’t forget the suite of safety features including automated emergency braking with pedestrian-and-bicyclist detection, and lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist.
Parking assists for the front and rear, a panoramic view monitor, and adaptive cruise control are also standard offerings.
2023 LX600 Premium 4WD
If the base model wasn’t high-end enough for you, then the Premium trim should do the trick.
Here you get heated front and second-row outboard ones, with the former also being ventilated. Other features include thematic ambient lighting, and a digital head-up display.
2023 LX600 F Sport Handling 4WD
On the F Sport Handling model, you’re introduced to the Hadori aluminum trim, along with semi-aniline leather–trimmed seats.
Other offerings include rear sunshades, a cool box, F Sport aluminum pedals, and several updates to the exterior.
2023 LX600 Luxury 4WD
The Luxury trim… adds even more luxury to the mix, as you now get a wood and leather-wrapped heated steering wheel.
Also, standard is a 25-speaker premium stereo tuned by Mark Levinson, and one-touch auto-arrange power-folding seats and ventilated second-row outboard seats.
2023 LX600 Ultra Luxury 4WD
Finally, we get to the Ultra Luxury trim, which almost maxes out the 2023 LX600.
You get Takanoha wood trimmings, a rear-center armrest and table, and heated and ventilated captain’s chairs in the second row…
The front passenger now gets 8-way power, while all those in the second row receive reclining and massaging rear seats.
There’s also a digital rearview mirror, wireless charging in the rear, and a high-tech rear-seat entertainment system centered around two 11.4-inch screens.

2023 Lexus LX600 LuxuryExterior and Driving
The 2023 Lexus LX600 models look as magnificent and commanding as ever. You get a lot to compliment it – LED lighting, heated outside mirrors, a moon roof, and a powered rear door.
20- to 22-inch alloy wheels are offered depending on your trim. The F Sport trim is the most unique and aggressive looking with its custom front fascia and mesh grille insert, rear bumper with valance and front fender badges.
The exterior colors available on the 2023 Lexus LX600 are Caviar, Manganese Luster, Nori Green Pearl, Atomic Silver, and Eminent White Pearl.
The Lexus LX may not have a V8 anymore, but they’ve still made it more effortless to drive.
The engine is powerful and smooth, and so is the transmission.
CNET describes it well: “Smooth and servile, this gearbox fades into the background like beige wallpaper, shifting smoothly and smartly.”
The handling and steering are on point; The Drive compliments it as follows: “The steering is so much lighter than before, making the big Lexus far easier to steer.”
And of course, it still rules the trail thanks to its shared DNA with the mighty Toyota Land Cruiser.

Reliability and Warranty
The 2023 LX600 hasn’t been rated for reliability by JD Power yet.
But if it is anything like last year’s model – which got 83 out of 100 – it should be very dependable. Consumer Reports gives you the thumbs up to buy it.
The aftersales include a limited warranty of 4 years/50k miles, a powertrain warranty of 6 years/70k miles, and complimentary maintenance for 1 year/10k miles.
Verdict
The 2023 Lexus LX600 won’t just be a large and powerful luxury SUV with all the boxes ticked – it should be the investment of a lifetime.
You get it all from quick acceleration, high towing and drivability to high-quality manufacturing, immense roominess, and durability.
